Before you begin
- Create Sites
- Create Production Lines
- Create Stations and Repair Stations
- Create Shifts
How it works
Follow the arrows from left to right. Each stage prepares the information the next stage needs.
- 01Required
Sites ready
Walk through the physical production process and match each area to a Forge record.
provides the information needed for - 02Required
Lines ready
Confirm which Line receives the first operation for every product type.
provides the information needed for - 03Required
Stations ready
Confirm Line capacities using a small realistic production quantity.
provides the information needed for - 04Required
Shifts ready
Confirm every operation and failure path has a usable Station.

Factory model approved
This stage contributes to the outcome: Confirm the physical factory model is complete before creating production master data.
Why this connection matters: Do not compensate for missing Lines by creating extra Stations.
Step-by-step in Forge
Navigation: Manufacturing → Factory setup and Process & Engineering
- Check Sites: Open Sites and confirm every physical manufacturing location is represented.
- Check Lines: Open Line and confirm the intended first production Line has Is Starting Line enabled.
- Check capacity: Open each Line and review Task Queue Capacity, hourly capacity, and shift capacity.
- Check Stations: Open Stations and confirm every Routing operation and failure path has an active Station.
- Run a small validation: Use a small Work Order quantity to confirm the factory model can accept and route Production Tasks.
