Step-by-step in Forge MES
- Create each real production lane with a unique name and code.
- Choose the Line type that best describes the manufacturing phase.
- Set Capacity Per Shift above Capacity Per Hour and enter a whole-number Task Queue Capacity within the range shown in the deployed Forge MES environment.
- Mark the Line that receives newly released units as a Starting Line.
- Keep the Line active when it should be eligible for production.
Rules to remember
- Name, code, and Line type are required; keep the Line code within the maximum length shown by the field.
- A Product needs at least one active Line assignment before a Work Order can be created.
- Normal initial release uses only eligible Lines marked as Starting Lines.
- Use a downstream phase as a Starting Line only when production can genuinely begin there.
Configure for the client
- Match Sites, Lines, Stations, Repair Stations, Shifts, capacity, calendars, ownership, and naming conventions to the client's approved physical factory model.
- Validate the configured behaviour with approved test data in the target environment before production use.
Ready when
- Every production lane has a unique Line.
- The initial Line is marked as a Starting Line.
- Capacity reflects the number of active and waiting tasks the Line can accept.
