How the workflow connects
This journey connects the following stages. Complete the required checks at each stage before moving forward.

Use Site on Stations
Use the Site when creating Stations and, where useful, Lines and storage locations.
Step-by-step in Forge MES
- Create one Site for each physical manufacturing location that needs separate operational records.
- Give each Site a unique name and code within the Plant.
- Add optional address details by selecting Country before State, and State before City.
- Keep optional metadata within the limit shown in the deployed Forge MES environment.
- Use the Site when creating Stations and, where useful, Lines and storage locations.
Rules to remember
- Site name and code are the required fields; the code accepts uppercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only.
- A Station cannot be created without a valid Site.
- Site names and codes must be unique within the Plant.
- Do not create a separate Site for every room or workstation; use Stations for that detail.
Configure for the client
- Match Sites, Lines, Stations, Repair Stations, Shifts, capacity, calendars, ownership, and naming conventions to the client's approved physical factory model.
- Validate the configured behaviour with approved test data in the target environment before production use.
Ready when
- Site names and codes are unique.
- Every planned Station can be mapped to a Site.
- Users can distinguish Sites without relying only on codes.
