This journey connects the following stages. Complete the required checks at each stage before moving forward.

Create operation Station
Create a Station for each operation that must be represented in a Routing.

Enter the required name, code, Site, and Station Category.

Validate identity
Use a name with at least two characters and a code containing only letters, numbers, and hyphens.

Create dedicated Repair-type Stations for failure handling.

Use a Repair Station different from the main operation Station in every Routing operation.
Step-by-step in Forge MES
- Create a Station for each operation that must be represented in a Routing.
- Enter the required name, code, Site, and Station Category.
- Use a name with at least two characters and a code containing only letters, numbers, and hyphens.
- Create dedicated Repair-type Stations for failure handling.
- Use a Repair Station different from the main operation Station in every Routing operation.
Rules to remember
- Station name, code, Site, and Station Category are required.
- Station names and codes must be unique within the Plant.
- Every operation node in the current Routing builder requires a Repair Station.
- The Repair Station cannot be the same Station as the operation itself.
- Automatic Stations are used for configured automation; regular Stations expect operator interaction.
Configure for the client
- Match Sites, Lines, Stations, Repair Stations, Shifts, capacity, calendars, ownership, and naming conventions to the client's approved physical factory model.
- Validate the configured behaviour with approved test data in the target environment before production use.
Ready when
- Every planned operation has a Station.
- Every operation can point to a separate Repair Station.
- Station types match the way work will be performed.
