Before you begin
- Activate a BOM Version
- Create Stations and Repair Stations
How the workflow connects
This journey connects the following stages. Complete the required checks at each stage before moving forward.
- 01Required
Start
A Routing is created for a Product, one or more Variants, and an active BOM Version.
Provides the controlled input for the next stage. - 02Required
Operation Station
Each operation node points to a real Station and includes a mandatory Repair Station.
Provides the controlled input for the next stage. - 03Required
Optional quality or packaging step
Connect Start, every operation stage, and End to define the execution order.
Provides the controlled input for the next stage. - 04Required
End
Conditional branches can use a quality result; lower priority numbers are evaluated first.
Step-by-step in Forge MES
- A Routing is created for a Product, one or more Variants, and an active BOM Version.
- Each operation node points to a real Station and includes a mandatory Repair Station.
- Connect Start, every operation stage, and End to define the execution order.
- Conditional branches can use a quality result; lower priority numbers are evaluated first.
Rules to remember
- Assigned Components and quantities must both reach 100% BOM coverage.
- More than one Routing can be Active; the Routing is determined when the Work Order starts.
- Components and tools can be attached to the operation where they are needed.
Configure for the client
- Match Routings, Operations, Station eligibility, Line assignments, work instructions, validation rules, and identifier formats to the client's approved manufacturing process.
- Validate the configured behaviour with approved test data in the target environment before production use.
Ready when
- I can explain the route from Start to End.
- Every operation maps to a real Station.
- Failure paths have an intentional destination.
