Impact in numbers
An Indonesian fast fashion brand built on social-first marketing and a weekly drop cadence, selling through its own website, Indonesia's major marketplaces and live commerce. Video is not a supporting channel for this business. It is the primary one, since content and live selling drive a large share of the discovery and demand the brand converts.
A weekly drop is a promise to the marketing team as much as to the customer. Every week there is a new collection that needs a hero film, product video for each style, creator-format content for social feeds, and enough ad variations to cover several platforms and placements without the audience seeing the same cut twice.
Traditional production cannot run at that rhythm. Each shoot meant booking a studio, a crew, models and stylists, then waiting two to three weeks for edits. The cost was largely fixed whether the shoot covered five styles or fifty, and the calendar was fixed regardless of what the drop needed.
That economic shape distorted everything downstream. The brand shot only the styles it was confident about, so the rest of each drop went to market with a flat product photograph and no video at all. Ad variations were cut and recut from the same footage until performance decayed. And the campaign creative for a Thursday drop frequently arrived the following week, by which point the drop had already had its moment and the algorithm had moved on.
The brand partnered with Fynd Studio to produce its creative at the pace the business actually runs at.
The arithmetic never worked. By the time creative for one drop was delivered, two more had launched without it. Launch weeks ran on whatever could be assembled in-house, usually a phone-shot clip and a static image, while the properly produced film for that collection appeared after the sales curve had already peaked. The brand was paying full production rates for assets that consistently missed their window.
Solution. Fynd Studio replaced the shoot-and-wait cycle with AI-assisted production run by a creative team as an ongoing partnership rather than project by project. Collection concepts are developed ahead of the drop calendar, so production begins from an approved creative direction rather than from a blank brief. Each drop now gets a brand film built to a consistent creative system, which means quality control happens once at the level of the system rather than repeatedly at the level of individual assets.
Impact. Turnaround from brief to live fell 70%, which moved campaign creative from arriving after the drop to launching with it. Cost per finished asset fell 75%, because output no longer depends on booking a studio, a crew and a location for every collection.
When production cost is effectively fixed per shoot, the only way to control it is to shoot less. So the brand concentrated everything on the handful of styles it expected to carry the drop, and the remainder went online with a flat photograph. Those styles then underperformed, which confirmed the decision not to shoot them, which guaranteed they would underperform again. The long tail of every drop was being written off before it had a chance.
Solution. With cost per asset no longer tied to a production day, video coverage extended across the whole drop rather than the top few styles. Every style now gets product video for its product page and social feeds. Because the assets are produced within one creative system, coverage expanded without the collection looking like it had been shot by four different teams.
Impact. The brand stopped choosing which products deserved creative. Styles that had previously launched with a still image now launch with video, and the sales concentration at the top of each drop softened as the rest of the range became visible.
Paid social consumes variations. Each platform and placement wants its own aspect ratio, length and opening frame, and performance decays as an audience sees the same cut repeatedly. The brand was re-editing a single shoot into as many versions as the footage allowed, which meant variations that were technically different and visually identical. Testing was limited to whatever the last shoot happened to have captured.
Solution. Fynd Studio produces ad variations as a deliberate set rather than as offcuts: multiple openings, lengths, framings and messages per campaign, formatted per platform and placement. Because the marginal cost of another variation is low, the brand can test genuinely different creative approaches instead of trimming the same film three ways.
Impact. Creative rotation became frequent enough to keep ahead of fatigue, and testing moved from choosing between near-identical cuts to comparing real alternatives. Insight from what performed then feeds the next drop's creative direction rather than being lost.
Creator-led content does the heavy lifting in Indonesian social commerce, and the brand relied on it. But a genuine creator programme runs on its own timelines. Briefing, shipping product, waiting for delivery and negotiating usage rights does not compress to fit a weekly drop, and the raw footage that came back still needed editing into platform-ready cuts, which sat in the same queue as everything else.
Solution. Studio works on both sides of this. Genuine creator footage is versioned into platform-ready ad cuts quickly enough to run while the drop is still live, so the brand gets more use out of content it has already paid for and licensed. Alongside that, creator-format brand content is produced to fill the gaps in the calendar where no creator asset exists, labelled and disclosed as brand-produced so the distinction between paid creator content and brand content stays clear to the audience and compliant with platform rules.
Impact. The creator programme stopped being a bottleneck and became one input among several. Feeds stay populated through every drop rather than only the weeks when creator deliveries happen to land, and licensed creator footage now earns its keep across multiple placements instead of one post.
Next on the roadmap: localising creative into regional variants for campaigns outside Jakarta, building creative specifically for live commerce sessions rather than adapting feed assets, and preparing campaign creative ahead of Ramadan, Lebaran and double-date peaks so the largest weeks of the year are not the ones running on improvised content.
