Step-by-step in Forge MES
- Verify Shift Schedule coverage. New Schedules remain Draft until activated, but status alone does not prove coverage; confirm generated shifts per week and calendar coverage in the target environment.
- Create a Shift Handover. Shift and Handover Date are required; Line, outgoing/incoming operators, summaries, notes, pending tasks, and checklist items are optional.
- Review the Draft before completion. Confirm the Outgoing and Incoming Supervisors explicitly, and use Complete only after the next Shift reviews the record.
Rules to remember
- Unpaid breaks are deducted from Shift duration when net working time is calculated.
- A Schedule marked Active can still have zero assigned shifts and no effective coverage.
- A new Handover is Draft; Complete it only after the receiving Shift reviews the recorded context.
- A 100% Break Compliance rate with zero Break Logs does not prove compliant breaks occurred.
Configure for the client
- Match KPIs, dashboard filters, alert thresholds, shift handovers, maintenance plans, report access, export schedules, and audit review cadence to the client's governance model.
- Validate the configured behaviour with approved test data in the target environment before production use.
Ready when
- Production, quality, equipment, safety, and pending repair work are recorded.
- The Draft is reviewed before Complete is selected.
