Approval when required
Submit inventory lot, vendor, and date-code holds for approval; they remain inactive until Quality approves them.

Track Scrap dispatch
Configure Scrap Reasons first, then use Scrap Register to track Pending Approval, Approved, Executed, and Rejected dispatches. The register has no create action.

Send executed Scrap to Teardown
Use Send to teardown on an executed Scrap dispatch to create a Teardown order linked to the donor serial and recovered Components.
Step-by-step in Forge MES
- Open Quality → Hold Management → Create Hold and choose the Hold Level before selecting a target.
- Select the required target and Reason. Notes are optional, and a Work Order hold can include an optional expected release date.
- Submit inventory lot, vendor, and date-code holds for approval; they remain inactive until Quality approves them.
- Configure Scrap Reasons first, then use Scrap Register to track Pending Approval, Approved, Executed, and Rejected dispatches. The register has no create action.
- Use Send to teardown on an executed Scrap dispatch to create a Teardown order linked to the donor serial and recovered Components.
Rules to remember
- Hold Level determines the target and impact; a Work Order hold pauses all production for that order.
- Inventory lot, vendor, and date-code holds require Quality approval.
- Teardown cannot begin until Scrap is executed and explicitly sent to teardown.
Configure for the client
- Match inspection plans, defect catalogues, NCR and CAPA policy, dispositions, approval limits, repair and rework routes, hold rules, and scrap governance to the client's quality system.
- Validate the configured behaviour with approved test data in the target environment before production use.
Ready when
- The target and Reason are selected for the correct Hold Level.
- Scrap reason categories and reason codes exist before dispatch.
- The teardown order remains linked to its donor serial and Scrap dispatch.
