None of it talks to the next stage automatically, so a shift in a trend forecast, a vendor delay, or a costing decision doesn't propagate through the chain on its own.
Cortex is an AI-first platform for fashion and lifestyle, and it isn't one tool but 15 sub-platforms already in production, each owning a piece of the Plan-Buy-Make-Sell chain and used by over 2,000 people across the business. Rather than a single interface, Cortex works more like a connected operating system, where a planning decision in one platform can feed directly into buying, vendor management, or store operations in another.
Real volume, not a pilot
In a single fiscal year the platform designed over 100,000 style options, ran more than 1.1 million purchase orders through over 1,300 active vendors, and delivered more than 150 million pieces.
The Vendor Management Platform alone has cut the time from a purchase order to shipping from 55 days down to 30.
AI Photoshoot generates on-model catalogue imagery with an 88% first-pass success rate, cutting photography cost by roughly 90%.
A single garment's path through Cortex looks something like this:
1. A trend gets spotted - celebrity, regional or marketplace signals feed into the trend-forecasting platform, and planning dashboards translate that into a category-level plan.
2. A design gets costed and built out, tracked from design through tech pack, sourcing and production, with automated material-level costing priced against vendor bids.
3. Fabric gets ordered and vendors get managed through a unified fabric-ordering platform and a master data system that's the single source of truth for every vendor, material and product.
4. Production runs through a connected vendor-management stack covering procurement, manufacturing, quality control and packing, with a purchase order now reaching shipping in a third less time than before.
5. Invoices, purchase orders and goods-receipt notes get reconciled automatically, with discrepancies auto-flagged instead of chased down by hand.
6. On the shelf, store teams run tasks and track KPIs through a dedicated store-ops platform already covering the large majority of stores, while a companion app helps shoppers discover products in-store and AI-generated photography stocks the catalogue online.
