How the workflow connects
This journey connects the following stages. Complete the required checks at each stage before moving forward.

Open start journey
Select Start Work Order; the Serial Numbers step blocks progress until confirmed serials equal the Work Order quantity.
Provides the controlled input for the next stage. - 02Required
Choose generation method
Select Generate Serial Numbers and use the Product Template when configured, another available Template, or Manual Upload for CSV or Excel.
Provides the controlled input for the next stage. - 03Required
Preview and validate uniqueness
Verify the preview count, select Validate Uniqueness, and generate the batch.

Generate and confirm batch
Select Confirm & Complete, then verify CONFIRMED and the exact serial count in the start journey.

Verify confirmed quantity
Complete this stage using the approved configuration and source records.

- Select Start Work Order; the Serial Numbers step blocks progress until confirmed serials equal the Work Order quantity.
- Select Generate Serial Numbers and use the Product Template when configured, another available Template, or Manual Upload for CSV or Excel.
- Verify the preview count, select Validate Uniqueness, and generate the batch.
- Select Confirm & Complete, then verify CONFIRMED and the exact serial count in the start journey.
Rules to remember
- Confirmed serial count must exactly equal the Work Order quantity before the next start step is enabled.
- Product Template is unavailable when no template is configured for the Product.
- Every proposed serial must pass uniqueness validation.
- A GENERATED batch is not production-ready until Confirm & Complete changes it to CONFIRMED.
- A serial number batch groups unit serials; it does not replace unit-level identities.
Configure for the client
- Match planning fields, scheduling rules, serial-generation policy, capacity controls, approval gates, and release permissions to the client's production-planning model.
- Validate the configured behaviour with approved test data in the target environment before production use.
Ready when
- The serial batch status is CONFIRMED.
- The confirmed serial count equals Work Order quantity.
- Serial format is suitable for scanning and traceability.
