How the workflow connects
This journey connects the following stages. Complete the required checks at each stage before moving forward.
- 01Required
Create small Work Order
Use a small quantity that is large enough to test serials, capacity, and material consumption.
Provides the controlled input for the next stage. - 02Required
Release
Run at least one unit through the complete normal route.
Provides the controlled input for the next stage. - 03Required
Execute every operation
Test a controlled failure and Repair path.

Test failure path
Verify quality, packaging, and shipment steps that apply.

Step-by-step in Forge MES
- Use a small quantity that is large enough to test serials, capacity, and material consumption.
- Run at least one unit through the complete normal route.
- Test a controlled failure and Repair path.
- Verify quality, packaging, and shipment steps that apply.
- Trace a completed unit back to material and forward to its container or shipment.
Rules to remember
- Do not use the first full-volume order as the first complete process test.
- Record every configuration issue and retest after correction.
- The trial is complete only when the unit history is understandable end to end.
Configure for the client
- Use the reference as a baseline, then document the client's enabled capabilities, responsible roles, approval matrix, terminology, integrations, and environment-specific decisions.
- Validate the configured behaviour with approved test data in the target environment before production use.
Ready when
- Work Order creates the expected Production Tasks.
- Normal and failure paths work.
- Material consumption and inventory are correct.
- Packaging and shipment work where configured.
- End-to-end traceability is complete.
