- How Forge MES Data Connects
How the workflow connects
Use this as the setup map for a new Forge MES environment. Do not skip ahead: every required stage supplies information used by the next stage.

Step-by-step in Forge MES
- Review the Plant and create the required Sites.
- Create Lines, mark the correct initial Line as a Starting Line, and configure capacity.
- Create operation Stations, dedicated Repair Stations, and Shifts.
- Create recommended Projects and Product Families, followed by Components and Products.
- Review the draft BOM created with the Product and activate it.
- Build and activate a Routing, then assign the Product to eligible Lines.
- Create a Work Order with at least one Shift, generate unit serials, validate readiness, and release.
Rules to remember
- Do not create Work Orders until the Product has both a Routing and an active Line assignment.
- Do not release production until the initial Line is marked as a Starting Line.
- Do not bypass readiness warnings without understanding their effect on later Stations.
Configure for the client
- Confirm the client's enabled modules, terminology, operating model, roles, and implementation boundaries before converting this standard journey into a solution design.
- Validate the configured behaviour with approved test data in the target environment before production use.
Ready when
- Every setup stage has an owner in my implementation plan.
- Dependencies are complete before the first Work Order is created.
- A small trial Work Order will be used before full-volume production.
