Impact in numbers
What does it take to turn 200,000 neighbourhood electronics shops into one national retail network? Not just a logo partnership or a catalogue listing. The real work sits underneath - a shopkeeper in a small town needs to offer the same product range as a big-box store, without the capital to stock it. A customer needs a delivery date they can trust, even in a town with no warehouse nearby. And none of it can depend on a retailer investing in inventory they might never sell.
Launched in 2021, JioMart Digital set out to solve exactly this. It built a commission-based platform that let any local retailer sell the widest range of digital products and Jio services without holding a single unit of stock. Building the systems to run it at national scale was not and that is where Fynd came in.
India's electronics retail market runs on local trust. Independent retailers know their customers and their neighbourhoods well. What they did not have was scale. A few problems kept coming in the way:
Retailers could only sell what they could physically stock. No shelf space meant no sale.
Growing a catalogue meant spending more upfront. Most independent retailers did not have that kind of money to invest.
When a customer asked for something that was not in stock, the sale was gone, often for good.
Getting products from a warehouse to a customer's doorstep needed infrastructure most small stores could not build alone.
Modern retail runs on data and real-time systems. Most local stores were still working without either.
JioMart Digital partnered with Fynd to create the technology behind the Assisted Selling Platform (ASP). This in-store system allows retailers to sell over 20,000 electronic products without keeping any stock. Fynd’s commerce, order management and logistics systems work together to make this model work smoothly and on a large scale.
The catalogue problem was solved at the store level first.

Here’s how Fynd can help you build your B2B2C retail network
Fynd's commerce and logistics stack gave JioMart Digital the infrastructure to move over a billion dollars in goods every year, without a single retailer holding stock.
With Fynd OMS running fulfilment behind the scenes, this volume stays steady and repeatable across 200,000+ stores, not just a one-time spike.
When demand surged, the platform scaled with it instead of buckling under it.
By giving retailers access to Fynd's endless catalogue and selling tools, JioMart Digital turned that into real earnings growth for its merchants, fast.
Growth that keeps compounding, not a one-time boost.
The most expensive problems in retail rarely announce themselves. They show up quietly - as a customer who leaves without buying, a store that stays the same size year after year or a sale that never scales past what one shop can stock.
JioMart Digital did not just add a feature to its stores. It removed the ceiling entirely. When the platform handles the catalogue, the delivery and the fulfilment, retailers get to focus on the one thing they were always best at - serving the customer standing in front of them.
That is what Fynd made possible. Not an add-on. A different starting point for what a local retailer can sell.
