Advanced Return & Cancellation Rule Configuration (Application-Level)

We’ve introduced a major enhancement to return and cancellation configurations. Merchants can now define return rules with greater granularity by setting conditions based on product tags, MRP, or selling price, in addition to the existing department and category levels.

The system now supports the creation of custom return and cancellation reasons and sub-reasons, alongside system defaults. Merchants can also choose to enable customer remarks collection for any reason.

All configured rules can be prioritised, and system default rules are now visible to provide transparency and serve as fallback when custom rules are inactive.

Fulfilment Options

Fynd introduces “Fulfilment Options,” giving merchants greater flexibility and control over their shipping strategies. Merchants can create multiple tailored shipping methods, such as Standard, Express, or Quick delivery, to meet customer expectations and optimise logistics efficiency.

Key Features:

  • Customisable Fulfilment Options:
    • Define custom names such as Standard Delivery, Express Delivery, and Quick Delivery.
    • Set eligibility criteria like “maximum delivery promise” (for example, show Express Delivery only if the promise is less than or equal to 3 days).
  • Store and Product Level Configuration:
    • Select specific stores eligible to fulfil orders under each fulfilment option.
    • Specify products eligible for each fulfilment option, ensuring appropriate allocation based on inventory and logistics capabilities.
  • Delivery Partner Configuration:
    • Assign preferred delivery partners to each fulfilment option for reliable, efficient shipping.
  • Customer Choice on PDP (Product Display Page):
    • Display all available fulfilment options on the Product Detail Page, allowing customers to select their preferred delivery speed and convenience.
  • Shipping Zones and Promise Customisation:
    • Configure shipping zones for each fulfilment option, enabling precise geographic targeting.
    • Set customised promise configurations for each fulfilment option, clearly communicating expected delivery timelines to customers.

Improved Serviceability & TAT Management

We've streamlined logistics configurations for better accuracy and flexibility:

  • Route Based Serviceability:
    Serviceability can now be restricted strictly to the routes defined in the TAT (Turnaround Time) file.
    • To apply a fallback delivery time for locations not listed in the TAT file, enable the Default TAT option.
    • To serve only the explicitly defined routes, disable the default setting and upload route-specific TAT data.

This enhancement provides greater operational control and helps avoid unintentionally marking unsupported routes as serviceable. It is especially valuable for time-sensitive deliveries like same-day, next-day, or hyperlocal shipments, where not just the destination, but also the source-to-destination route (e.g., Metro to Metro) must be explicitly defined.

  • Hierarchy Selection: Select the hierarchy at Pin Code, City, or State levels. Only the chosen level is mandatory; higher levels help resolve duplicates.
  • Default Pickup CutOff: Optionally set default pickup cutoff times for forward and reverse pickups. This ensures smooth scheduling even when specific cutoff times aren't provided in the serviceability file, resolving issues with incomplete data.
  • Improved File Validations: Clear validations and error messaging for missing or incorrect fields, duplicates, and logical inconsistencies.

These updates enable better control over logistics operations, enhance serviceability accuracy, and streamline delivery promise management for more effective fulfillment.

Improved Shipment Packaging

Merchants can now select specific stores, rather than just the sales channel, when creating shipment packages, allowing them to choose individual stores within a channel during package creation. Marketplace owners can define packaging rules once and automatically apply them to every brand’s store under their sales channel.

Fulfilment Type Filters + Search in Event Lanes

To support the new multi-promise fulfilment experience introduced by the Logistics team, we've introduced the following enhancements in the Communications module:

  • Search Button added at the top of every event lane for quicker navigation.
  • Fulfilment Type Filter is now available inside all Order Processing Lanes to help teams filter events based on delivery type.
  • Default filter is set to Delivery - Standard.
  • Additional fulfilment types will be dynamically displayed based on the fulfilment options configured in the sales channel (e.g. Express, Scheduled, Click & Collect, etc.)
