Use selling location custom fields to fine-tune delivery promises

  • Merchants can now include selling location custom fields in the promise calculation to reflect real store-level preparation time. Earlier, promises relied only on fixed fields like Order Processing Time and Delivery Partner TAT. With this update, duration-based custom fields allow each store’s operational needs to be captured in the final promise.
  • A new Custom Fields section appears below Buffer Time in Promise section. You can search and select eligible custom fields created at Selling Locations. During calculation, the value and unit of each selected custom field are added to the final promise.

Ship a Single Shipment in Multiple Packages (Multi-Piece Shipments)

Merchants can now create and manage Multi-Piece Shipments (MPS) from OMS. A Multi-Piece Shipment allows a single shipment to be packed and shipped in multiple packages, instead of sending all items as one piece.

While creating a shipment, merchants can add multiple packages by selecting from existing configured packages or by creating new ones. Items within the shipment can be assigned to specific packages, and a custom package code can be added for easier identification. After a delivery partner is assigned, labels can be generated for each package. Each package carries its own tracking reference (child AWB), enabling package-level tracking shared by the delivery partner.

Returns are now also supported at the package level for Multi-Piece Shipments, allowing merchants to process partial or split returns with greater control.

Improved Refund Experience with Flexible Refund Modes and Clear Customer Visibility

Merchants can now manage refunds with greater flexibility and transparency across both customer-initiated and staff-initiated returns.Merchants can configure refund modes based on how the original payment was made:

  • For online payments, merchants can choose which refund options to enable, such as refund to source or store credits.
  • For offline payments like Cash on Delivery or Cash at Store, merchants can configure alternate refund options, including store credits, UPI refunds, or bank transfers using customer-provided details.

These configurations apply to both customer-initiated returns and returns initiated by store staff, giving merchants consistent control over refund handling across workflows.

To improve transparency, customers can now see a detailed refund breakup on the storefront. This clearly shows what amount is refundable and which charges are non-refundable, helping set the right expectations upfront.Additionally, UPI refunds are now supported for orders paid using offline payment modes, making it easier and faster to process refunds digitally.

Merchants can now use natural language prompts to create custom storefront page sections for the header and footer using AI, allowing them to design and use their own header and footer instead of the default layouts.
