Eligibility
- Participants must be at least 18 years of age as of May 17, 2025.
- Participants must be students, freelancers, or working professionals passionate about building and innovating in commerce tech.
- Participants must be legal residents of India and possess a valid government-issued ID.
- Employees, consultants, and officers of Fynd are eligible only for the "Best in-house" award category and not for any other prize categories.
Registration & selection
- Registration opens: Apr 17, 2025 - May 15, 2025 (11:59 PM IST).
- Participants can register solo or in teams of up to 4 members. Solo hackers can choose to find teams on the kickoff day.
- Apply via the official Hacktimus website.
- By registering, participants agree to abide by all Hacktimus rules & terms.
- A maximum of 200 participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. If we get more registrations, we might tentatively increase the headcount, at the sole discretion of the Fynd DevEx team.
- Selected participants will be notified via email immediately and added to the event WhatsApp group.

Pre-event phase

- Chosen Use Cases Released: Apr 25, 2025
- Participants can either pick from the Fynd chosen use cases or bring their own use case, which must be verified on the kickoff day with the Fynd DevEx team.
Kickoff phase
- May 17, 2025
- Venue: Fynd Headquarters, Mumbai
- 9 AM - 10 AM: Assemble on the venue
- Collect swag and goodies
- 10 AM - 12 PM: Kickoff Ceremony
- Founders on stage
- Introduction to Fynd Products
- Event Announcements
- 12:30 PM: Lunch break
- Participants can either pick from the Fynd chosen use cases or bring their own use case.
- If a team picks their own use case, they must provide a detailed SOW (scope of work) document in the given format, showcasing the business problem they are solving.
- The DevEx team will review this SOW and approve (or request changes to) the idea.
- DevEx approval is mandatory for proceeding with the rest of the event
- 4 PM: Use Case & Team Finalization with DevEx
- 4 PM - 6 PM: Development Starts
- 6 PM: Disperse
Mentors from Fynd will be available to assist developers.

Judging, evaluation, and winning
First 15 published extensions:
- Get your use case approved by the DevEx panel
- Submit your fully functional extension in the Partner portal
- Publish your extension
- Claim your prize IF you do not win in any other category
First 20 Boltic integrations:
- Build any Boltic integration (that doesn’t already exist)
- Publish your integration
- Claim your prize IF you do not win in any other category
Steps to win: (every other category)
- <before May 18> Get your use case approved by the DevEx panel
- <before May 29, 3 pm> Demo your work to the DevEx Panel to qualify as a semi-finalist
- <May 30> Demo your work in-person to our Fynd Panel(s) to qualify as a finalist
- <May 30> Present your work to the Founders, CXOs, and market leaders
- Win their hearts and take home the prize!

The judging panels consist of Fynd executives, the Developer Experience team, Senior managers in Engineering, Product, Design & DevOps, and industry leaders. All decisions are final & binding.
Prizes
1st place: ₹1,00,000
- Only Fynd Commerce extensions are eligible for these prizes.
- The winning team gets ₹1,00,000, a 1-year GitHub Copilot Pro subscription, and a 1-hour mentoring session with a Founder.
2nd place: ₹50,000
- Only Fynd Commerce extensions are eligible for these prizes.
- The runner-up team gets ₹50,000, a 1-year GitHub Copilot Pro subscription, and a 1-hour mentoring session with a Founder.
Most innovative submission: ₹30,000
- This prize is distributed to the project with the most creative idea & solution.
- The team is awarded ₹30,000, access to a Udemy Business Course, and a 1-hour mentoring session with a Founder.
Best UI/UX: ₹30,000
- This prize is distributed to the project with the best interface and a kickass user experience.
- The team is awarded ₹30,000, a 1-year Mobbin plan, and a 1-hour mentoring session with Fynd’s Head of Design.
Best in-house: ₹30,000
- The best project from Fynd employees is awarded ₹30,000.
- This must be a Fynd Commerce extension
- This is exclusive and the only prize eligible for Fynd employees.
Best Pixelbin app: ₹20,000
- The best Mobile, Web, AI, or Integration-based Pixelbin app is awarded ₹20,000.
Production code: ₹15,000 / ₹5,000 each
- The first 15 Fynd Commerce extensions published are awarded ₹15,000 each.
- The first 20 Boltic integrations published are awarded ₹5,000 each.
- Teams publishing our preferred list of 10 integrations are awarded ₹7,000 each.
- Note: This excludes other category winners.

Code of conduct & fair play
- Respect & professionalism
- All participants must adhere to the event’s Code of Conduct, ensuring a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment throughout the hackathon. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or misconduct will not be tolerated.
- Disqualification & final decisions
- Fynd reserves the right to disqualify any participant found violating the rules, engaging in unethical behavior, or failing to comply with hackathon guidelines. The panel's judging decisions are final and binding, with no scope for appeal.
- Intellectual property & code ownership
- Fynd will retain full rights to the codebase of every extension published during the hackathon. Participants must ensure their submissions do not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights and adhere to open-source and licensing compliance.
