The fitting room is the most constrained surface in fashion retail: four to six rooms, 7-12 minutes a session, three garments tried, while the customer stands exposed to under 0.03% of the catalogue. This paper proposes replacing most of that footprint with an in-store virtual try-on booth: a private, depth-camera-equipped station where a customer is measured once, tries the full catalogue as photorealistic renders of themselves, gets a size computed from their body against each garmentʼs specs, and checks out on the spot. If the item is in the store, they carry it home. If it isnʼt, it reaches their door in thirty minutes. The economics for a 3,000 s.q. ft metro store: spend ₹10-18L in year one ₹3-6L one-time hardware; metered software thereafter) against ₹20-26L in annual savings from leaner floor staffing and near-eliminated garment damage. Payback comes within two quarters, before counting conversion uplift from a catalogue 10-40x larger than the rack. The technology exists today. The decision is whether to keep treating the fitting room as a feature instead of a bottleneck.
