1. Payment Option Sequencing for Mobile Site

We've addressed the issue of inconsistent payment option sequences between the mobile site and the website. By ensuring that changes to payment priorities reflect uniformly across both platforms.

2. Utilizing Extension API Secret as Salt

Previously, the payment server generated a Salt based on the API key and secret of an extension, requiring an additional offline step to share this information with the extension creator. To streamline this process and bolster security, we've unified the API key and extension secret key. Now, the API secret of the extension will be directly utilized as the Salt, eliminating the need for offline sharing and ensuring a more seamless and secure transaction process.

3. Refund Processing Challenges Post-Merchant Account Migration

Following the migration of a merchant account from X to Y within the Payment Gateway, we encountered difficulties processing refunds for orders originally created under the PG merchant account X. These challenges stemmed from initiating refunds using the active merchant account and its associated credentials, which did not recognize payment details under the new merchant account Y. To address this issue, we've implemented a solution to ensure seamless refund processing. Old orders will now be refunded through the previous merchant account (X), effectively resolving refund failures that occurred following the seller migration.

4. Masked Phone Number & Email Address in Simpl Payment Gateway Payload

Previously, the response payload from the check eligibility API inadvertently exposed sensitive information such as phone numbers and email addresses under the data attribute. To address this privacy issue and ensure the confidentiality of user data, we've implemented masking techniques to obscure phone numbers and email addresses in the payload.

To rectify this, we've implemented a solution ensuring that the initially assigned DP receives a cancellation confirmation, while simultaneously triggering the manual assignment of the new DP.
