When you wish to play then it can be unfolded and spread over. External dimension of chess board is around 10 inches x 10 inches when open and 10 inches x 5 inches when folded. Board is also decorated with wood inlays. Wooden chess board can be folded and it also works as storage to keep the pieces when folded.
