June - Pride Month
Pride month celebrates love and friendship amongst the LGBTQIA+ Community and beyond all over the world. People come together to appreciate how far LGBTQIA+ rights have come and address the long road they still have to tread to gain acceptance and equality in society.
In India, Section 377, which criminalized homosexuality, was ruled out of the constitution in 2018. This was a milestone for the LGBTQIA+ Community in India. In spite of these achievements, we have a long way to go, conveyed by the given graph, that shows the country’s LGBTQIA+ laws, rights, and social sentiment in India, according to Destination Pride
Homophobia, bi-phobia, and transphobia are suffocating many queer individuals trapped indoors with unaccepting near and dear ones.
In unprecedented times like these, we are reminded of the importance of acceptance and love from our family and friends. Sharing our experiences can help those who are trying to ‘Fynd’ love. We want to explore these synergies by asking you how did you #FyndYourLove and who helped you #FyndYourPride.
